Our Wedding Videos

I give up…

It’s so annoying that the video html to our wedding website only work temporary and I had to resort to something that I resent doing … putting them on facebook and youtube. Argh!!!

Well, I am not much of a web designer to start with. And I am not that good with html.  I wish I know how to do flashy flash, but then again there are many things I wish I can do. Life on earth is too short to do it all so I will just have to prioritize.

And why do we resent putting them on facebook or youtube so much is also a mystery to me. It seems that everyone displays almost everything of their life nowadays in facebook and youtube. Nothing wrong with that but it just makes it so impersonal – a public display where you ‘broadcast yourself’ (as per youtube) so anyone can see it.  Maybe we are just rebellious against the fact that everyone is using facebook and youtube to upload their pictures and videos.

We would like to make it personal.
And yet at the same time able to share it with all friends and families.
By putting them instead on our website…
Now, how exactly that makes it more personal? Beats me.

That’s why I give up. So here’s the url to our wedding videos if it fails or takes too long to load from our website. Enjoy.

More Wedding Photos

Finally printed, sent off  and uploaded our wedding photographs. It could be such a mammoth task trying to include every single person that attended the wedding! It was like going through the extensively long guestlist again. The idea of eloping was very tempting at times like these…

Anyway, what am I blabblering about now that I am already a married woman in front of half a thousand of witnesses. I mean to say, we would like to thank you all for being a part of our special day.

Gosh, we are taking forever to sort out the wedding photos. But here it is on our website www.freshlibaked.com.

freshlibaked.com

We are proud to announce our official site at http://www.freshlibaked.com

This move is partly due to geocities closing this  month. It seems that free hostings are closing down one by one, and it’s frustrating having to move webhost so many times.

Currently I had been loading photographs and video of our wedding. More will be coming soon once we get back from our honeymoon. So do check back to our official sites for more updates!

Europe here we come!

Officially Married!

So it’s official, we’re finally married!  1 Wedding ceremony, 1 dinner in Singapore and 1 dinner in Penang and we’re still alive, kicking and raring to go.
Firstly a big thank you to everyone that made our special days possible, be it family or friends or those who couldn’t make it but remembered us in their prayers.  We are so grateful to everyone but especially to all who gave their time and effort to make sure that everything ran smoothly!

It’s been 5 days now since the Penang dinner and we’ve been slowly recovering.  it’s shocking how little sleep you can end up with when you have to wake up early for make up, photo shoots, etc.  It’s also surprisingly draining having to take care of two sets of families over the course of 2 weeks.

so, what have we been doing since?

you’d think we’d be kicking back, enjoying the weather in Penang, eating and just sleeping a lot and that’s partly true.

however we’ve also been anxiously preparing for our honeymoon as well as various other errands that we have to undertake as a new husband and wife together.  We’re planning our life together and that’s no small feat.  Now this is where the journey really takes off.

Next stop we’ll be heading to KL to visit friends before spending a night in Genting Highlands.  Then it’s back to Singapore for 3 days and then off to London to start our official honeymoon. :)

Almost there

we’ve been married for 6 days now and the wedding festivities haven’t ended yet.  As tiring as the Church wedding and Singapore dinner were we’re now gearing up for the Penang Dinner which is at the Northam hotel.

Number 1 tip to anyone getting married, make sure you’re DEADLY serious about the person you’re getting married to because weddings are EXHAUSTING. They can bring out the worst in any person and you may not like what you see.

Number 2 tip…I’m too exhausted I actually can’t continue writing, so till next time…

Numb with excitement

I will admit that it’s a real blessing for the both of us to not be working as we prepare for our wedding. That saves us from having to juggle overtime, appointments and various other work related items amidst all our other marital decisions.

The only problem is that it can get a bit overwhelming thinking about wedding stuff all the time.  So much so that you eventually get quite numb to it all.

Which is a shame because we are both really excited about it and we are still raring to go.  Just that occasionally we need to take some time out to chill, think about other matters and remember that there is a big wide world out there.  That the wedding is not the only thing that we have to think about (though it is most naturally the first thing we think of).

Marriage planning is a journey, the journey that preludes the actual journey of marriage.  And like any journey there will be longer bits, faster bits, slower bits, boring and exciting bits.  We’re in a bit of a trough a the moment… like the calm before the storm (pardon the analogy) where we can only wait to see the fruit of our efforts come alive on the day itself.

Until then we just wait and plan and make sure everything is accounted for.  Slowly slowly each second brings us that little bit closer to the date.  And a lifetime together.
